Professor Pier Alberto Testoni is the Chief of the Gastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit at the San Raffaele Research Hospital in Milan. Also, holds a possition of a Professor of Gastroenterology at the University Vita-Salute San Raffaele. His research activity focused on techniques for prevention of post-ERCP pancreatitis, endoscopic treatment of acute recurrent pancreatitis, advanced imaging techniques for digestive endoscopy, techniques for endoluminal surgery, and trans-oral fundoplication for gastro-esophageal reflux disease. Performed over 10,000 pancreaticobiliary endoscopic procedures; has the highest number in Europe of trans-oral fundoplication procedures for gastro-esophageal reflux disease.
