Since 2017 Dr. Annalisa Gagliano is a 1st level surgeon at the General and Emergency Surgery Unit of the San Raffaele Research Hospital in Milan. Hers main areas of current scientific activity are emergency surgery and trauma, maxi-emergencies, urgent laparoscopy, ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) in emergency surgery.She has participated as an assistant (July 2007-today) to more than 900 major abdominal surgeries, 40 organ transplants (38 liver and 2 pancreas), and, since January 2014 she has performed: 275 operations as the first operator including 110 of major surgery with also laparoscopic technique.
