Dr. Director of the Unit Alberto Margonato

Professor Alberto Margonato is Chief of Cardiology department at the San Raffaele Research Hospital in Milan. Also, is a senior operator in interventional procedures, including POBA, Stent implantation, PFO closure: up until now he has performed personally more than 2500 procedures. He has also gained considerable experience in noninvasive cardiology (Exercise testing, Holter monitoring, 2D and Doppler echocardiography). During his career he has personally performed over 3,000 cardiac catheterizations, including coronary angiography and pacemaker implantation.
