Dr. Maria Pia Manitto is a Medical Ophthalmologist with sub-specialty interests in Genetic Ocular Diseases and Paediatric Ophthalmology (eye development and diseases in children) and a Consultant at the Ophthalmology Unit of the San Raffaele Research Hospital, Milan.
She is a founder member of SIOG (Società Italiana di Oftalmologia Genetica: Italian Society of Ocular Genetics).
She is the author of more than 11 experimental and clinical articles on genetic diseases (inherited retinal dystrophies)
