Dr. Elena Orsenigo is the Head of the Laparoscopic Surgery, the General Surgery and Emergency Unit, the San Raffaele Research Hospital.
She performed over 2,000 surgical procedures as a main surgeon, mainly related to gastrointestinal surgery (elective and emergency surgery) most of them with the minimally invasive technique.
Moreover, she has experience in HIPEC (cytoreductive surgery and intraperitoneal chemotherapy) and abdominal wall reconstruction.
She is the author of more than 150 experimental and clinical articles on surgical oncology, transplants, and emergency surgery with an Impact Factor over 200.
