Professor Gherlone Enrico is the Head of the Department of Dentistry, the Rector of Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan and full Professor in Clinical Dentistry at Vita-Salute University. Before becoming the Rector, he was Dean of the Masters Degree in Dentistry and Dental Implantology, Chief of the Specialization School in Oral Surgery, and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. He is the Head of the Department of Dentistry at the San Raffaele Research Hospital, since 2008 to 2011 he was a Member of the Italian programming committee of the Ministry of Health and, from 2010 to 2013, a Member of the Health Superior Council, where he represented the dental area until August 2013.
