SPECIALIST IN:

ANGIOLOGY, GYNECOLOGY, and OBSTETRICS

Born in Dronero, Italy in 1951, beginning his career with a background in classical studies from The Jesuit Fathers Istituto Sociale of Turin and graduating summa cum laude in Surgery and Medicine from The University of Turin, Dr Riba attained medical specialist degrees in gynecology and obstetrics from the same university in 1981 as well as angiology at the University of Catania in 1987, becoming a licensed specialist in Rome in 1989.

PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS:

◇  Specialist in Angiology and Vascular Medicine at the Mauriziano di Torino Hospital up

      until 1992.

◇ Author of over 120 publications of both original works and for national and

international congresses; coauthor of three volumes for the Atlas of Diagnostica Vascolare Ultrasonica and author of a text on clinical and ultrasound diagnostics in the field of phlebology.

HEALTHCARE BACKGROUND AS FOUNDER AND PRACTITIONER:

◇ CIDIMU S.p.A. (Centro Italiano di Diagnostica Medica Ultrasonica) diagnostic institute of Turin

      since 1983.

◇ R.I.B.A. S.p.A. (Radiological Imaging Board & Associates) diagnostic institute of Turin since 1990.

◇ L’Associazione Medicina & Tecnologia (A.M.T.) which is where the School of Ultrasound Diagnostics was established in 1997 for graduates in Surgery and Medicine, in collaboration with the University of Pavia as well as other Italian and foreign scientific associations.

◇ The PRO.TEC.ME. S.r.l. which has provided health service “outsourcing” to both public and private hospital facilities since 1998.

◇ President of the G.R.I.S.P. (Gruppo Regionale Imprese Sanitarie Private) since 2004, the Piedmontese Association of Healthcare Institutes and Organizations. In 2008 GRISP partnered with Federlab National.

◇  In 2013 it initiated and co-founded the SSMS (Società Sanitaria di Mutuo Soccorso) national health fund.

◇ Currently the sole proprietor of the CIDIMU-RIBA S.p.A. Diagnostic Group, with 11 centers located throughout three regions of northwestern Italy

◇  Member of the Regional Board of Directors for SIMM (Italian Association of Medical Managers)

◇ Distinguished fellow of the Accademia di Medicina of Turin.
