In 1870 the mud and baths department was created. Here “Salsoiodica” water, or salso-bromo-iodine thermal water (i.e. containing sodium chloride, bromine and iodine), is used to provide a relaxing, anti-inflammatory action on the osteoarticular system, and also for its skin exfoliating and purifying properties.
