From January 1, 1987, the Hospital of the Local Social Health Unit was declared for its operational potential. As a hospital, the nursing home provides hospitalization and outpatient services, under accreditation with the National Health Service (S.S.N.). The catchment area to which the structure is aimed amounts to over 80,000 units, to which over 450,000 visitors to the spa area of ​​Abano and Montegrotto, including 250,000 foreign guests, must be added during the period March / October.

The structure of the Nursing Home welcomes the wards, the recently built operating rooms, the service and outpatient activities, spread over thirty clinics, as well as the offices, the ancillary services, such as the administration and the staff office. , and a warehouse for logistics.

The main operating block, consisting of five multipurpose rooms, is reserved for major surgery, with a high technological impact and a particularly complex organizational level. Here we perform general and specialist surgery (gynecological, urological, otolaryngology, bariatric, spine), orthopedics-traumatology and knee surgery, in both an election and an emergency regime.

The Day surgery - day hospital block is dedicated to minor operations in hospitalization or outpatient settings, such as orthopedic and foot surgery, hysteroscopies, carpal tunnel, inguinal hernias, varicose veins in the lower limbs and more.

There is also a third operating block reserved for obstetrics and gynecology, equipped with two labor rooms, the yellow room and the blue room, equipped with modern technologies (gynecological table, Dutch stool and the tub for labor in water).

Finally, the Regional Center for Diabetic Foot has a dedicated operating block, connected to interventional radiology.

The nursing home is also equipped with a hospital emergency room, operating within 24 hours, also serving the Urgency and Medical Emergency department (SUEM) and connected to the Padua operations center, for urgent and emergency assistance, for transport. both ordinary and assisted healthcare and for intensive and sub-intensive resuscitation services.
