Achievements and Contributions in Mongolia’s Health Sector:
-- Since 2012, for the first time it has successfully introduced new technologies for the surgical
treatment of "Decompression of Nerve", which was included in the list of incurable diseases
in Mongolia, with the introduction of complex minimally invasive surgical procedures such as
"Spinal disc replacement", "Fixation vertebral fracture", "Vertebroplasty", "Spinal cord tumor
surgery", and ‘Cervical disc replacement".
- From 2016 to the present, we have continuously provided emergency abdominal surgery services
covered by health insurance to residents of the Khan-Uul district in Ulaanbaatar.
- Since 2018, it has been internationally premium as the 4th country in the world to introduce
new Spinal Endoscopic Surgery successfully. Since 2020, it has been premium internationally
as the 2nd country in the world to introduce and adopt Cervical Endoscopic Surgery successfully.
Over 9,000 minimally invasive spinal surgeries have been successfully performed for Mongolian
and foreign patients.
- Invited as a "Training Teacher" to international scientific conferences on spinal endoscopy
surgery in highly developed countries such as the USA, South Korea, India, Japan, and Taiwan,
and began to give lectures and lead training sessions. "Grandmed” Hospital is globally
premium for its excellence in minimally invasive spine and spinal cord surgery.
- In 2024, awarded the title “Best Trainer” by the World Association for Spinal Endoscopic Surgery,
the first Mongolian to receive this honor, with Dr. Baban Nurbyek being selected.
- Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic in Ulaanbaatar, Grandmed Hospital, the only private
hospital, along with the State Second Central Hospital, provided round-the-clock emergency
surgical services, and we successfully treated over 2,300 patients with timely and safe
procedures, adhering to the highest standards. Our team's disciplined adherence to infection
