dr. Doctor Ante Barišić

Doctor Ante Barišić is specialist ophthalmologist, sub -specialist for diseases of the anterior ocular segment and Head of the Department of Cataract. He completed Mathematical -physical and informatics high school "Aleksa Šantić" in Mosta r, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Zagreb in 2000. Specialist exam in ophthalmology he passed in 2008 after completing the specialization in General Hospital "Sv. Duh“under the mentorship of Professor Doctor Iva Dekaris. He completed postgraduate studies in ophthalmology from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Zagreb in 2007. Postgraduate university studies, doctoral program in Biomedicine and Health Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zagreb he completed in 2008 and in 2007 he defended a doctoral dissertation entitled "Analysis of the application of multifocal lenses for presbyopia with a transparent lens and patients after cataract surgery". Doctor Ante Barišić, in 2015, was elected as an associate assistant at the Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Rijeka. Under the mentorship of Professor Doctor Nikica Gabrić and Professor Doctor Iva Dekaris, he also passed trainings regarding cataracts in Pr ague (2008), Ljubljana (2007) and Budapest (2007). He spent a month on the scholarship of the European Society of Ophthalmology at the University Eye Clinic in Munich (2007). He completed "Visian ICL Surgical Certification Training" in 2012 in Milan. Other than cataract surgery, Doctor Barišić has extensive experience in refractive surgery of lens i.e. implantation of intraocular lens with the purpose of vision correction and solving wearing glasses. He also has experience in laser vision correction surgeries, transplantation of amniotic membranes and other anterior ocular segment surgeries.
