ass. prof. Assistant professor Maja Bohač

Assistant professor Maja Bohač PhD ,MD is specialist ophthalmologist -refractive surgeon, sub- specialist for diseases of the anterior ocular segment and Head of the Department of Refractive Surgery. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Zagreb and completed specialization in ophthalmology under the mentorship of Professor Nikica Gabrić, PhD. Her training in the field of refractive surgery began under the mentorship of Professor Gabrić and by additi onal trainings in London, Zurich, Barcelona, Cologne and Strasbourg. Regarding the scientific education, Doctor Bohač completed the postgraduate study of Biomedicine and Health at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zagreb. In April 2017 she co mpleted doctoral dissertation on: "Comparison of mechanical microkeratome and femtosecond lasers" and obtained PhD. In 2021 inaugural lecture for the election to the scientific -teaching title of assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Rijeka was held, with the topic of: ''Refraction surgery of the cornea"'.
