He specialises in trauma and orthopaedic surgery, particularly in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis for adults. He has extensive experience in primary and revision endoprosthesis of the knee joint.

His second specialisation is sports medicine, with a special interest in injuries, musculoskeletal overload during sporting activities, nutrition, and supplementation in sport. He is certified to adjudicate and grant certificates for specific sports for children and adults.
