Biography

r. Ahmet Soykurt was born in Cyprus in 1990. He completed his medical education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. After completing his specialization in general surgery at the Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital of the Health Sciences University, he received the title of general surgeon. He is a successful surgeon who is experienced in oncological surgery (cancer surgery), bariatric surgery, reflux surgery, breast-endocrine surgery and has broken many new ground in Cyprus. He works at the Department of General Surgery at the Near East University, the largest and most fully equipped hospital in Cyprus. In addition to his general surgery specialization, he completed his endoscopy training and advanced endoscopy ERCP training and earned the title of Advanced Endoscopist. Many major surgeries and firsts have been carried out in Cyprus. Among the surgeries performed for the first time by the TRNC are Laparoscopic liver resection, recurrent achalasia surgery, Laparoscopic thoracoscopic esophageal cancer surgery, and sleeve gastrectomy for organ transplant patients.
