Dr. Vincenzo Farina is a physician, sonographer, endoscopist and specialist in general surgery. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia with an experimental thesis in emergency surgery, then he specialized in General Surgery at the First University of Rome "Sapienza" with a grade of 70/70 laude, with an experimental thesis in oncological surgery and with specialization carried out at the Department of Digestive Surgery of the Regina Elena Cancer Institute in Rome. She obtained the SIUMB Diploma in Clinical Ultrasound, the First Level University Master in Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Radiology in Urology at the First University of Rome "Sapienza" with honors, the II level Master in Internal Ultrasound at the First University of Rome "Sapienza" with honors. For over 10 years he has been carrying out ultrasound activities including internal ultrasound scans (thyroid, abdomen, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, etc.), muscle-tendon (joints, muscles, etc.), soft tissues (neck, lymph nodes, salivary glands, lipomas, abdominal wall, etc.), urological (testicular, bladder, prostate, transrectal etc.) and vascular and has carried out more than 10,000 ultrasounds. He performs endoscopic activities (gastroscopies and colonoscopies) and minimally invasive abdominal laparoscopic surgery (gallbladder and colon pathologies, etc.), abdominal wall surgery (inguinal hernias, umbilicals, laparoceles, etc.), proctological surgery (hemorrhoids, fissures, perianal fistulas, sacrococcygeal fistulas) with innovative and minimally invasive techniques (e.g. interventions for the treatment of perianal fistulas with laser). He carries out his clinical and professional activity at a well-known Roman hospital and at private clinics and nursing homes in Rome. He is a member of the Italian Society of Ultrasonology in Medicine and Biology (SIUMB) and the Italian Society of Colorectal Surgery (SICCR). He has carried out numerous training courses, and is constantly updated on new surgical techniques and approaches in the field of abdominal and proctological surgery.
