Dr. Barbara Bertoli is a full-time surgeon who carries out ultrasound examinations of the internal medicine type in Rome. Ultrasound is a branch of medicine that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of multiple pathologies, in particular after her university studies at the University of Bologna, where she obtained, in 2008, a degree in Medicine and Surgery with a thesis at the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases she enrolled in the Register of Surgeons of Rome with serial number M 56700 In 2011 she obtained the basic diploma in ultrasound S.I.U.M.B. both theoretical and practical at the A. Gemelli Polyclinic – Geriatric Internal Medicine. In 2013 she obtained a Master's Degree in Internal Medicine in Ultrasound at the University of Rome La Sapienza – Policlinico Umberto I – Department of Internal Medicine of Prof Violi. In 2021 she enrolled in the national register of sonographers S.I.U.M.B. He has therefore dedicated much of his training by participating in many advanced refresher courses on ultrasound techniques and on the various branches that make up internal medicine: diseases of the gastrointestinal tract: liver, gallbladder, pancreas, esophagus, colon; endocrine disorders: thyroid, parathyroid; pathologies of the genitourinary tract: kidneys, bladder, prostate; vascular pathologies: color doppler echo of the vessels of the neck, color doppler echo of the large vessels: abdominal aorta and arterial and venous color doppler echo of the lower and upper limbs both with regard to the study of plaques and venous vascular pathologies such as phlebitis and thrombophlebitis; urgent pathologies; musculoskeletal pathologies such as trauma and inflammation of a chronic degenerative type; abdominal wall pathologies such as hernias and laparoceles; superficial tissue pathologies such as cysts and lipomas; lymph node pathologies. During this period he participated in numerous practical trainings on new cutting-edge methods in the ultrasound field with the use of new technologies and the application of the latter in various specializations with the use of ultrasound-guided and contrast medium. He currently works in important private and affiliated health facilities, dealing with both inpatient wards and internal medicine check-ups, as well as the outpatient and internal medicine pathologies described above.
