Professor Alessandro Castiglioni is the Chief of the Cardiac Surgery Division at the San Raffaele Research Hospital in Milan. Also, hold a possition of a Professor at the University Vita-Salute San Raffaele. As main surgeon performed over 6,000 surgical procedures, mainly on mitral, aortic and tricuspid valve, with both traditional and mini-invasive technique, even with concomitant atrial fibrillation ablation; expert in myocardial revascularization, with and without cardiopulmonary bypass. Professor Castiglioni is an expert in tricuspid valve repair in patients with primary tricuspid regurgitation and expert in beating-heart repair and replacement techniques for the tricuspid valve, in patients with previous cardiac surgeries and with severe tricuspid pathology.
