Biography
Professor Mustafa Şahin is a distinguished General Surgeon with over 30 years of clinical expertise and academic leadership. As a Professor and Academic Director at Büyük Anadolu Hospitals, he combines his profound surgical skills with a passion for education and research. With training from leading institutions across Europe, including Brussels Independent University, Bordeaux, and London, he has honed advanced techniques in liver transplantation, bariatric surgery, and hepatobiliary surgery.
His career is characterized by over 20,000 successful surgical procedures, 400+ international research publications, and six international patents in the medical field. A visionary leader in the surgical community, Professor Şahin has served in key leadership roles such as Vice President of the European Association for Surgical Research and the Turkish Surgical Association. His work extends beyond the operating room, contributing to the advancement of medical education and healthcare policy through various national and international committees.
